Exercise Rehabilitation for WorkCover/CTP

At Uplift Exercise Physiology, we specialise in, and are passionate about assisting workers with their recovery following a workplace or motor vehicle accident.

We are motivated to assist workers as we are cognisant of the health benefits of good work, and the positive impact that work has on an individuals quality of life.

Uplift Exercise Physiology is a proud signatory to the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine’s Consensus Statement on the Health Benefits of Good Work (HBGW).

To ensure the best possible standard of care for our workers, all of our interventions adopt the principles of the Clinical Framework for the Delivery of Health Services:

    1. We measure and demonstrate the effectiveness of treatment;
    2. We adopt a bio-psychosocial approach;
    3. We empower the injured worker to manage their injury;
    4. We implement goals focused on optimising function, participation and return to work; and
    5. We based treatment on best available research evidence.

Who we can help:

We are strong advocates of early, active, work specific rehabilitation for workers with acute/sub-acute neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and/or psychological injury including but not limited to: ligament damage, muscular damage, fractures, postural issues, whiplash, neural conditions, post-surgical, depression, anxiety, stress, and/or PTSD.

We also assist workers with chronic work-related conditions to upgrade their capacity for work, and most importantly improve the quality of life outside of work.

We help with: chronic pain, fear avoidance, musculoskeletal de-conditioning, weight management, restoring range of motion, work specific functional upgrading, and work hardening for durability.

Our Process:

    1. Referral received by Uplift (Insurer approval sought as required).
    2. Initial Assessment scheduled and completed at location agreed upon by worker and Uplift.
    3. Initial report and AHRR communicated to stakeholders with recommendations for graded, individualised programme.
    4. Following insurer approval, treatment commences at appropriate location (home, gym, pool, workplace).
    5. Uplift provide regular updates to stakeholders on worker progress and any barriers (strategise/NTDCC if required).
    6. Uplift progresses workers health towards maximal improvement in functional capacity, self-management, and work capacity.
    7. Final report completed  by Uplift and sent to stakeholders with comprehensive outline of programme outcomes.

We take care of the administration to provide a set and forget solution for everyone.
