Exercise Physiology & NDIS

Exercise interventions, as delivered by Exercise Physiologists, provide a range of physical, mental and psychosocial benefits to people with a disability. Exercise improves cardiovascular fitness, neurological function, muscular strength and balance, decreases symptoms of mental illness including depression and anxiety, and can assist to foster social connections and belonging. Ultimately, this can lead to improved quality of life, and life expectancy for NDIS participants.


Uplift are proud to offer Mobile NDIS Exercise Physiology services that:


    • Assist participants work towards their goals and aspirations through evidence based, individualised exercise programmes.
    • Include the development of activity plans to: address participation barriers to activity, empower participants, support their daily living, provide social inclusion, maintain independence, promote self-efficacy and improve functional well-being.
    • Provide reasonable and necessary physical conditioning to support, maintain and/or increase physical mobility, as well as reduce the risk of co-morbidity development that is often associated with disability (i.e. diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity).
    • Are fun and enjoyable for participants! 

How do we help?


All of our NDIS Exercise Physiology services are provided via mobile delivery, at a location convenient to participants. Our consultations can be completed a participants home, a nearby gym, pool, or community facility agreed upon with your Exercise Physiologist. 


Who can benefit?


Participants with the following disabilities can benefit: Autism, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury, Amputation, Paraplegia, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurological Conditions, Blindness, Deafness, Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Illness and Down Syndrome. If your disability is not listed here, please contact us and we will do our absolute best to help, or if appropriate find an alternate provider that can assist.


Uplift Exercise Physiology is a proudly registered NDIS provider, and can therefore assist self-managed, plan-managed and agency/NDIA managed participants.
