How We help
Doctors and Specialists
1. Patient-centred care – we treat all of our patients with dignity and respect. We respond to their individual preferences, needs and values.
2. Flexible Service Delivery – we can consult with patients at home, in local gyms, local hydrotherapy centres, in clinic (Mayfield), or online.
3. We specialise in WorkCover / CTP – our deep understanding of WorkCover / CTP schemes allows us to overcome barriers, so that your patient can focus on their recovery.
4. Clinical Expertise – we invest heavily in professional development to ensure our clinicians skillset is industry leading, giving the patient access to timely and quality, evidence based exercise interventions.
5. Tailored Treatment – we spend a full hour with patients at their initial assessment to properly understand their goals, and collaborate to build an individualised plan to help them achieve their goals.
6. We make your life easy – we provide regular progress reports prior to each of your reviews, so that you can easily update the certificate of capacity and make informed medical decisions.
Flexible Service delivery Model
Empowering Injured Workers
We give patients choice and control over how they would like their treatment to take place to help them towards sustainable self-management.
We can take away the stressors of travel and time by meeting your patient at home.
This mode of service delivery is great if your patient has limited physical mobility, limited access to transport, or injury that leads to reduced confidence in leaving the home.
We find that our patients get great results with home programs as it allows us to show them exercises in the environment they will complete them in when we are not there.
Home visits also provide our practitioners with a deeper understanding of the patients living environment, day to day barriers, and challenges, which then allows us to get appropriate strategies in place.
If your patient has a gym membership or is looking to purchase one, we can attend the gym alongside them to optimise their program, ensure that it is safe and effective, and individualise it to help them achieve their goals. In some circumstances, where reasonable and necessary, their insurer may also be able to assist with a membership for recovery.
As we specialise in working with people with workplace injury/illness, we can often show patients new ways of doing things and new exercise techniques that may not have thought of.
Gym based training is a fantastic way for patients to meet like minded people and re-engage in the community.
It also provides patients with access to specialised equipment (i.e. weights and cardio machines) that can help them become the best version of themselves.
We have great relationships with a large majority of the gyms across our wide service area – chat to us today to find out if we work with your patients gym!
Our Exercise Physiologists are able to complete consultations throughout the local community, whether it be at a local park, beach, walking trail or sporting field, we’ve got your patient covered!
This allows your patient to access their program outside of your scheduled consultations and participate in activity more regularly.
Community consultations are beneficial in that they allow patients to move in a way that is meaningful for them, and they are a great way to promote social participation.
We take pride in regularly communicating progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the multidisciplinary support team to ensure patients are appropriately supported to achieve their desired outcomes.
We are able to access local aquatic centres to deliver hydrotherapy based programs to patients.
Hydrotherapy programs can be especially beneficial for patients if they have a neurological condition, pain condition, have reduced balance, are in an acute/sub-acute phase of rehabilitation, and/or they are someone that enjoys water based activity.
The clinic always has a great, supportive environment – patients get all the benefits of a gym and equipment, without the crowds.
The clinic is accessible, with lots of on-street parking nearby; we also have accessible shared amenities on-site.
We are well versed at being able to develop and deliver quality online exercise programs via Microsoft Teams.
This allows your patient to access their program, their exercise physiologist and stay on track, no matter where they are in the country.
We find that certain patients love engaging via telehealth, especially if they are managing reduced mobility or just don’t have the confidence to be seen in person yet.
We have had some fantastic outcomes where patients begin with online programs and then increase their social participation over time as their confidence grows.
We take pride in regularly communicating progress, barriers, and treatment plans with the multidisciplinary support team to ensure patients are appropriately supported to achieve their desired outcomes.

Kate has been seeing my sister now for Parkinson’s disease for over 12 months and has greatly contributed to her being able to continue to function on an everyday basis. I am sure that this would not happen if we did not have Kate.Posted on joTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Big shout out to Kate! You are amazing in helping me in my recovery.Posted on Terri-anne FrazerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been using Uplift for over 18 months. My EP Kate has been phenomenal. She always goes above and beyond with my treatment and keeps me safe in the gym. On days where my injury does not allow me to attend gym, she will have my appointment at home and show me gentle exercises I can do and to check on my mental health. She is amazing at what she does and I have made a massive improvement since starting with her. Kate is an absolute superstar!Posted on Kelly MorrisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Luke travels to my place every Monday and I look forward to our meet ups. I cannot speak highly enough of Luke.Posted on Alexandra HendersonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nikki has been absolutely fantastic. I have been blown away by how much she has helped me physically and also mentally. Could not be happier with the whole process of dealing with Uplift.Posted on NTHSHELLYTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Kat has been absolutely outstanding throughout my recovery from a spinal compression fracture. From day one, she brought a level of dedication, professionalism, and positivity that made a really tough period so much easier to get through. She put in an incredible amount of effort to make sure every stage of my rehab was safe, effective, and tailored to how my body was progressing. What really set Kat apart was her attitude. She was always upbeat, patient, and genuinely fun to work with. Even when I was being annoying with my ongoing moto asking whether doubling the weight would mean half the recovery time she never failed to laugh, keep me grounded, and explain things in a way that actually made sense. Her humour made every session feel lighter, and her encouragement kept me pushing forward without ever feeling overwhelmed. And honestly, she deserves a pay rise and a whole lot more credit if not for her skill, then simply for putting up with me every week. Uplift Physio, if you’re reading this, give Kat a medal or at least a good Christmas bonus. Thanks to her guidance and hard work, I’ve made huge progress and feel confident moving forward. I can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done. The whole team at uplift are the greatest rehab you could ask for if you want a fast easy recovery get there!!!!!!!!!!Posted on Annette ShepherdTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yes! We have been in operation since 2019 and the longest wait list we have ever had is two weeks, and even that was only for a short period of time. We have managed to hire and retain quality team members which has allowed us to meet increasing demand and avoid wait times.
We are strong advocates of early, active, work specific rehabilitation for workers with acute/sub-acute neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and/or psychological injury including but not limited to: ligament damage, muscular damage, fractures, postural issues, whiplash, neural conditions, post-surgical, depression, anxiety, stress, and/or PTSD.
We also assist workers with chronic work-related conditions to upgrade their capacity for work, and most importantly improve the quality of life outside of work.
We help with: chronic pain, fear avoidance, musculoskeletal de-conditioning, weight management, restoring range of motion, work specific functional upgrading, and work hardening for durability.
Absolutely!
The quickest and easiest way to start Exercise Physiology with Uplift is to fill out our online referral form – press ‘Quick Referral’ button. Once this form is filled out, it will be received and reviewed by the team manager who can immediately begin processing the referral into our system. Once processed into the system, it is allocated to the most appropriate Exercise Physiologist (considering geography, complexity, gender requests etc.) and the Exercise Physiologist will be in contact to book an initial assessment at an agreed time, date and location.
The initial assessment is where the patient and Exercise Physiologist get to meet for the first time.
The purpose of the initial assessment is for the patient and the Exercise Physiologist to get to know each other, discuss goals, discuss health history, assess current status (questionnaires and basic physical assessments), and most importantly collaborate together to develop an individualised exercise plan.
The initial assessment is usually more talk based, rather than exercise based – the majority of exercises begin after the initial assessment.
At the end of the assessment, once both parties agree on a plan, and a follow up session date, the Exercise Physiologist will give all parties and update and seek approval for treatment from the Insurer – then the worker can focus on treatment and recovery.
No two programs look the same, so we really can’t know this until after the initial assessment.
The reason for this is that we take an individualised approach, not a ‘cookie cutter’ approach. Some of the factors that determine what a program look like include: worker goals, worker exercise preferences and likes, diagnosis/medical conditions, safety, and current evidence around what is effective.
Programs can be delivered at home, in the gym, at a hydrotherapy centre, online or in the community (or a combination of multiple options).
We are proudly and independently partner with local GP’s and Specialists to optimise the health outcomes of injured workers.
